Description
Rivier University has a highly successful online Doctoral Degree (EdD) Program in Leadership. The core courses of the program are focused on leadership, cultural competence, positive psychology, information technology, change, research, and writing of the dissertation proposal and dissertation.
As a core faculty member, you will provide course instruction in an online modality though innovative teaching methods and technologies. Several positions are available to teach courses in the identified topics. Opportunities for serving on dissertation committees are available. This is a perfect opportunity to
gain professional experience in doctoral teaching and mentoring of doctoral students.
Duties and Responsibilities
Doctoral teaching in the identified focus areas include facilitation of online discussion to create an engaging academic learning environment, assessment of learning performance, and development and completion of the dissertation in order to prepare students to be successful leaders of change in their chosen disciplines and profession.
- Provide online course content in one or more of the core areas of the curriculum.
- Provide quality instruction, direction, mentorship and dissertation advisement to students in courses and throughout the dissertation process as instructor and committee member.
- Provide and support processes and procedures that enhance quality dissertations including timely and constructive feedback.
- Facilitate completion and submission of Instructional Research Board (IRB) process and procedures.
- Maintain records and tracking of student progress on assessment rubrics for the program.
- Respect and support for the mission of Rivier University and doctoral program.
- Supervise and advise students on data collection, analysis, and interpretation as necessary, and
- Adhere to university and doctoral program policies, procedures, and practices.
