Property Maintenance

We are seeking maintenance employees with 2 years of hands-on property/apartment experience to help maintain several properties in the Renton area.

Applicant will perform all aspects of property maintenance and must able to inspect, trouble-shoot and perform repairs. Applicant must be able to turn apartments and complete repair requests correctly in a timely and thorough manner. This position takes an active role in the preventative maintenance for buildings, completing tasks and making recommendations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks in a self directed manner with moderate to minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot issues, plan/schedule repairs, and communicate required actions.
• Assure Safety Standards, guidelines, codes, and regulations are used.
• Ensure timely turnover of vacant apartments.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks.
• Accurately report all time, activities and supplies needed for repairs.
• Maintain professional appearance.
• Operate all equipment, tools, motor vehicles(s), etc. according to safety standards.
• Securely store tools, equipment, parts, and materials in designated areas.
• Ensure that all work areas are clean and safe at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years experience working as an Apartment Maintenance Technician or in a related field
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic; plumbing, electrical, carpentry, wall repair, and painting
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools and other generally accepted maintenance equipment
• Experience working independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to keep accurate records and perform basic mathematical computations
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and to problem solve effectively
• Ability to master tasks after a brief period of instruction
• Experience in successfully working with diverse populations
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must have a vehicle and valid Washington State drivers License.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English
• Basic computer skills a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years hands on proven experience in basic home maintenance such as, plumbing repair, drain cleaning, a working knowledge of carpentry, electrical applications, wall repair and painting.
• Certified in asbestos, hazardous materials a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
