Medical Receptionist - As the first point of contact at Rixis Dermatology, you’ll make a positive impression on every patient. Your role includes greeting visitors, scheduling appointments, answering phones, and managing inquiries. You’ll also coordinate insurance, billing, and medical record requests. We seek individuals with strong organizational skills and a friendly attitude. Experience at a medical office front desk is preferred, but customer service expertise in another field is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and vendors with a friendly attitude, setting a welcoming tone for their visit.
• Manage multi-line phones, answering calls and addressing patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
• Handle the check-in and check-out processes, including obtaining insurance information and other necessary patient data.
• Enter and manage patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Schedule appointments both over the phone and at the checkout desks.
• Collect outstanding balances and copays, ensuring accurate financial transactions.
• Provide patients with support and guidance, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to established standards and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a medical office front desk or strong customer service background.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
• Ability to learn and adapt to various tasks within the center, offering assistance to management and physicians.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to achieving the highest standards in patient care and customer service.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
