Structural Steel Estimator - Construction Industry - DFW

This role focuses on estimating structural steel costs for complex projects such as football and baseball stadiums. The individual will lead the preparation of project estimates, ensure compliance with corporate standards, and support the sales team in project bids. Candidates should have extensive experience in structural steel fabrication and erection processes, strong technical skills, and a collaborative approach to team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed material and labor take-offs for structural steel projects.

• Develop and review complete project estimates for accuracy and compliance.

• Collaborate with sales teams to support project bids and participate in client meetings.

• Supervise and mentor a team of estimators to enhance productivity and accuracy.

• Utilize software tools like Bluebeam, Revit, and Tekla for estimation and documentation.

Key Skills

• Expertise in structural steel fabrication and erection processes.

• Proficiency in software tools such as Bluebeam, Revit, Tekla, and Microsoft Office.

• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.

Educational & Other Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Minimum 5-20 years of experience in structural steel estimation, depending on the level of the position (mid-level to Chief Estimator).

• Must have a Legal Right to Work in the US

• Willingness to live/relocate to Dallas or Oklahoma City as required.
