Job Summary:
As a Powersports Service Writer, you’ll be the bridge between our customers and our technicians. Your role will involve scheduling service appointments, writing repair orders, providing accurate estimates, and keeping customers informed throughout the repair process. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and a passion for the powersports industry.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Write accurate and detailed repair orders based on customer concerns
- Communicate service needs clearly to technicians
- Provide service estimates and obtain customer approvals
- Maintain clear communication with customers regarding service progress and completion
- Upsell additional services when appropriate
- Coordinate parts ordering and ensure timely delivery for repairs
- Ensure all repair documentation is complete and accurate
- Maintain a clean and organized service area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a service writer or advisor role (powersports or automotive preferred)
- Basic mechanical knowledge of powersports vehicles
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with service scheduling and repair order software
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education a plus
- Valid driver’s license (motorcycle endorsement a plus)
