Purchasing Manager Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Purchasing, the Purchasing Manager develops and maintains a team of buyers to buy products at the best price available.

Purchasing Manager Qualifications
- 5 years purchasing and inventory control experience
- 2-3 years of management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field
- Effective leadership ability
- Previous purchasing experience; preferably in a redistribution environment
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Exceptional negotiation skills
- ERP experience
- Keen attention detail and accuracy
- Polished oral and written communication skills
Purchasing Manager Duties
- Manages and develops the Buyer team
- Oversees vendor and contract negotiations
- Forecasts trends, inventory turns and fill rates to determine needs of business
- Supports and communicate with sales, customer service, and operations in the assigned region
- Builds and maintain relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers
- Other duties as assigned
