Summary / Objectives
The Accounts Payable Specialist will organize and process invoices for timely payment, prepare various account reconciliations and analyses including monthly vendor statements, and produce and maintain permanent files of monthly A / P reports including account distribution, open invoices, cash disbursement, and open receipts.
Essential Functions

- Process invoices with appropriate supporting documentation and / or approvals for payment.
- Process both manual and computer-generated methods of payment.
- Issue checks for customer refunds.
- Maintain files of check copies with invoices and supporting documentation.
- Research open payments.
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements.
- Request, update, and file W-9 information.
- Assist in year end 1099 processing.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, auditors, and outside vendors.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will not have any direct reports.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This role will require sitting at a desk for most of the day.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
Full Time - Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day.
Required Education and Experience
Preferred Education and Experience
2-4 years of Accounts Payable experience preferred.
