We are seeking a Selenium Test Automation Engineer (Selenium & API Testing) for a 12 month contract position. This is a fully remote role, but candidates must be local to the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in automation testing, with expertise in Selenium (Java), Rest Assured, and Postman. This role requires a strong background in UI and API automation, as well as experience developing and maintaining robust automation frameworks.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain automation frameworks, libraries, and tools for UI and API testing using Selenium (Java), Rest Assured, and Postman.
• Design robust and reusable automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.
• Independently create, execute, and maintain comprehensive automation scripts.
• Implement BDD / TDD methodologies using tools like Cucumber, Serenity, and Playwright-BDD.
• Utilize scripting languages such as Java, J2EE, PL / SQL, Perl, Shell, and Python.
• Work with code coverage tools like Jacoco, JSCover, and Sonar.
• Manage build automation using Maven and Gradle.
• Collaborate with CI / CD pipelines using Jenkins and Bamboo.
• Utilize version control systems such as GitHub and Bitbucket.
• Track and manage projects using JIRA, ALM, and Rally.
• Lead and mentor a distributed team of automation testers in an onshore / offshore model.
• Build strong relationships across teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
