Chevrolet Shop Dispatcher

Description of the role:

The Chevrolet Shop Dispatcher at RK Auto is responsible for managing and coordinating all service requests and dispatching technicians to ensure timely completion of work orders. The position will require strong attention to detail as well as excellent communication skills. The dispatcher is responsible for maintaining workflow throughout the shop as well as communicating with service advisors and managers about completion times and any problems that arise.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and process service requests from service advisors and internal staff
• Assign technicians to work orders based on their availability and expertise
• Monitor and track the progress of work orders to ensure on-time completion
• Coordinate with parts department to ensure required materials are available for service jobs
• Communicate with service advisors regarding estimated completion times and any delays

Requirements:

• 3 years Dealership experience in service dispatch or similar role
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of automotive industry and basic vehicle operations
• Experienced technicians are a plus. If you can still turn hours while also dispatching, the opportunities are bigger.
