Job Summary
We are seeking an IT Business Analyst to onsite to customer 's location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing information systems to meet the client's needs.
The Japanese customer is developing a new custodian system, with the following project timeline:
- Dev team setup: Jan–Feb 2025
- Finalize development scope & timeline: Feb–Mar 2025
- Team member SOW finalization
- Business Requirement Document (BRD): Apr–Jun 2025
- Development phase: Apr 2025–Feb 2026
- Integration testing: Mar–Apr 2026
- QA testing: May–Jun 2026
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Jul–Aug 2026
- Migration: Sep 2026
- Go-live
Responsibilities
- Work onsite at the customer’s location in New York.
- Gather business and system requirements from client.
- Assist client to define requirements and suggest ideas.
- Create Business Requirement Spec, SRS (System Requirement Spec), UC list and UC detail, User Stories and wire frame for complex UCs (if needed)
- Transfer knowledge to offshore team
- Assist PM on project scope, estimation and planning.
- Assist PM on requirement sign off process and project change requests.
- Act as the bridge between client and offshore to clarify requirement with development team (developers, testers, UI designer) in both business and system analysis view and facilitate communication among internal team members.
- Work with QC to verify that all requirements of the system are fulfilled by the implementation in the traceability manner among requirements, CR and implementation.
- Write testing scenarios for UAT.
- Support UAT in testing, verifying bugs/issues with client.
- Assist Bid Manager in pre-sales support activities especially on analysis phase.
- Analyze and reverse engineer the existing system to describe it in the requirement specifications that can be understood by project team
- Analyze and interpret data to provide insights and recommendations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Design and maintain databases to store and retrieve information efficiently
- Develop VBA scripts for process automation
- Create process flow diagrams using Visio
- Follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for system implementation
- Conduct analytics to identify trends and patterns in data
- Utilize R for statistical analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science or Business Information System
- Financial experience is required; experience in custodian systems is a strong advantage.
- Obtaining IT knowledgebase
- Fluent English to be able to communicate directly with customers. Japanese is nice to have
- At least 4 years of working experience
- Basic experience in programming languages
- Basic knowledge on database such as database schema and simple SQL query
- Knowledge of testing approaches and techniques
- Excellent communication skill and interpersonal skill

Pay: $101,100.00 - $151,200.00 per year
