Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Vietnamese IT Project Manager to work onsite at the customer’s location in New York. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of IT projects to ensure timely completion.
Project Context
The Japanese customer is developing a new custodian system, with the following project timeline:
- Dev team setup: Jan–Feb 2025
- Finalize development scope & timeline: Feb–Mar 2025
- Team member SOW finalization
- Business Requirement Document (BRD): Apr–Jun 2025
- Development phase: Apr 2025–Feb 2026
- Integration testing: Mar–Apr 2026
- QA testing: May–Jun 2026
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Jul–Aug 2026
- Migration: Sep 2026
- Go-live
Key Responsibilities
- Work onsite at the customer’s location in New York.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate project resources, including team members in Vietnam, vendors, and consultants.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues effectively.
- Ensure projects adhere to industry best practices and established methodologies.
- Lead project meetings and prepare detailed status reports.
Qualifications & Skills
- English and Vietnamese is required. Japanese is nice to have
- Financial experience is required; experience in custodian systems is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in SQL Server (on-premise).
- Familiarity with Agile
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure and cloud services
- Experience with project management frameworks.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams throughout all project phases.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $112,749.00 - $153,600.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- New York, NY 10172: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
