What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plastics Mold Setter - 3rd Shift position at RL Hudson?
Responsible for injection molding duties and activities that meet the highest standards in process and control documentation. This is a high visibility position that reflects on the entire Company.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform mold set-ups and production start-ups which meet the documented process standards.
2. Monitor, correct and document process deviations.
3. Material handling and change-overs.
4. Operation and maintenance of all injection molding and support equipment
5. Follow all equipment safety procedures, using Lock-Out / Tag Out procedures as necessary.
6. Provide support and training to operators on production equipment operation and equipment and work area safety.
7. Maintain order and cleanliness in the work area.
8. Perform other duties as necessary or required
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Injection molding machine start-up, processing, mold changes.
· Overhead crane operation and safety.
· Operator station and fixture change-overs.
· Able to read and comprehend work instructions, maintenance logs, maintenance manuals and other operational literature.
· Maintenance of primary, auxiliary and secondary equipment.
· Interpersonal and communication skills.
· Organizational skills.
· Basic knowledge of tools and equipment.
Education/Experience:
· 2 to 3 years mold setting experience required.
