Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures with precision and care.
- Conduct laboratory tests and assays, including ELISA, to support clinical trials and patient diagnostics.
- Process specimens accurately while adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Document test results meticulously and assist in the interpretation of data for clinical use.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate laboratory information.
- Uphold laboratory management best practices, including inventory control and compliance with regulations.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical technology and laboratory procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or a related field is required; certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician is preferred.
- Experience in clinical trials or a clinical laboratory setting is highly desirable.
- Proficient in specimen collection processing techniques, including venipuncture.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and laboratory management principles.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of assay techniques, particularly ELISA, is an advantage.
