Our client, a leading international manufacturer of advanced flight training simulators for the aerospace industry, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing engineering team in Southampton, PA.
In this role, you'll be designing and enhancing complex electrical systems for cutting-edge aerospace simulators, including human centrifuges that prepare pilots to withstand extreme G-forces-up to 15 Gs!
You'll work with a range of systems, including stand-alone and distributed I / O, SCADA, and network-based control systems, integrating state-of-the-art equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical design for industrial or custom machinery and proficiency in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical to create and modify schematics, panel assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and control system designs. Key Responsibilities :
Design and modify electrical systems and control panels, including panel assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and control system schematics, using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Customize electrical drawings to meet the unique requirements of aerospace machinery and client specifications.
- Troubleshoot existing designs and propose, implement, and document solutions to improve functionality and performance.
- Apply engineering principles to enhance electrical and electro-mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as NEC, NFPA, and UL508A.
- Collaborate closely with the mechanical design and production teams during the machinery assembly and integration phases.
- Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) for electrical components.
- Take initiative in improving design processes and demonstrate self-motivation in delivering high-quality results.
Requirements :
Salary : 75,000 - 90,000
Hours : Monday - Friday, 8a-5pm
Location : Southampton PA (Onsite)
