Responsibilities
- Assist optometrists with patient care, including pre-testing and specialized testing
- Perform visual field testing and retinal imaging
- Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance coverage
Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques
- Experience in ophthalmology or a clinic setting is a plus
- Understanding of medical billing processes
- Proficiency in retail math for optical sales
- Ability to work with various computer systems
- Front desk experience is beneficial
- Physiology knowledge is advantageous
