IVIRMA is seeking a full-time Patient Services Scheduler to join our growing team in our Patient Services department located in Basking Ridge, NJ. You will be responsible for proactively supporting the schedules of Physicians with high patient volume in order to provide patients with optimal care.
Responsibilities :
- Manage schedule of assigned provider(s)
- Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
- Effectively utilizes clinical knowledge when determining if appointment is consistent with the diagnosis / indications indicated by the provider
- Assess scheduling conflicts and problems with recommendations for solutions
- Provides accurate, detailed information to patients regarding test preparations, time of patients scheduled arrival, and any other directional information needed; takes appropriate action in responding to questions from patients
- Enters notes / special instructions needed for scheduling in the electronic medical record
- Ensures proper follow-up appointments are scheduled
- Follow individual provider’s appointment template
- Completes accurate documentation of informed consent with patients for appointments as needed
- Work closely with nurses to coordinate total patient care
- Comfort patients by anticipating their anxieties and answering their questions
