Operations Management Intern

Job Overview :

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Resort Operations Management Intern to join our team at [Resort Name]. This internship offers hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a resort, with exposure to multiple departments, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, recreation, food and beverage, and general resort operations. Under the supervision of the Resort Operations Manager, the intern will learn how to optimize operations, improve guest experiences, and contribute to the overall success of the resort.

The ideal candidate is someone eager to learn about hospitality management, possesses strong communication and organizational skills, and is enthusiastic about providing exceptional service to guests.

Responsibilities :

• Assist in coordinating daily operations across multiple departments, including guest services / front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, recreation, and Sales and Marketing.
• Shadow department heads and managers to learn about the operational flow and processes within each area.
• Support guest services by addressing inquiries, assisting with check-ins / check-outs, and resolving guest requests or concerns.
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining resort facilities, ensuring that everything is clean, well-maintained, and functioning properly.
• Contribute to the planning, setup, and execution of special events, activities, and resort programs.
• Help with inventory management and ordering supplies to ensure departments are fully stocked and operational.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to gain insights into resort management and industry best practices.
• Assist with analyzing and improving operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and overall resort performance.
• Support the Resort Department Heads with administrative tasks, such as preparing reports, organizing schedules, and handling guest feedback.
• Provide assistance to other resort departments when necessary to ensure smooth operation during peak times.
• Learn about budget management, financial tracking, and cost control measures in resort operations.
• Gain exposure to both front-of-house and behind-the-scenes activities, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of resort operations.
