Svc Dispatcher

Position Title: Service Dispatcher
Department: Service Department
Reports to: Service Manager

The Dispatcher will be responsible for using the Company’s routing software to establish daily routing of service jobs. The Dispatcher needs to be able to adjust to last minute changes and work with technicians to schedule service jobs and determine priority needs for customers.

Responsibilities:

•    Maintain a high level of product and technical knowledge and practical experience through the study of technical manuals and bulletins, classroom training, communication with factory service representatives and actual hands-on experience.
•    Maintain a skill summary of the technical staff and make recommendations to service management regarding technical training needs if applicable.
•    Collaborate with management to modify daily service repair jobs to accommodate the needs of customers.
•    Provide timely on-the-job assistance to technicians experiencing difficulty in daily job flow of service customer needs.
•    Cultivate strong relationships with the technicians to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes.
•    Provide diagnostic and test drive assistance on the service lane as needed by the service sales staff.
•    Monitor any sudden scheduling of service jobs in order to maintain high customer satisfaction and timeliness of the repairs.
•    Assist the service sales staff in properly documenting repair order complain, cause and correct information.
•    Meet with the service manager once a week to report on shop production and discuss any pending administrative or management matters.
•    Perform various administrative tasks as directed by management.
•    Arrive at work, take breaks and lunch, and depart work at the times designated by management.
•    Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.
•    Maintain a high level of personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance consistent with the job and dealership standards.

Requirements:
•    Follows the dress code the company has put in place. Maintains a clean and neat work area.
•    Follows federal, state and local law as well as company policy about safeguarding all information.
•    Reports on time to work and follows schedule that is given. Calls supervisor if he/she cannot be at work on time.
•    Keeps current with annual HR training along with any other training that might be required for this position.
•    Follows all company policies and procedures. Notifies supervisor of any illegal activity.
