ROLE SUMMARY :
The Leasing Consultant is responsible for leasing units at our newest property : 51 South Broad Street in White Plains, NY. The Leasing Consultants directly interact with potential customers in person, on the phone, and over email. They form connections with a wide variety of community constituencies and leverage every tool at their disposal to create leasing activity for vacant units. The Leasing Consultant acts as RMS’ representative in the community and serves as an advocate for the building and the brand. The Leasing Associate reports to the Property Manager.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Act as a professional, courteous, and enthusiastic ambassador of the building and RMS brand to all potential customers, existing customers, and third-parties
- Interact with customers who walk into the building with inquiries
- Monitor inbound email, social, and telephone inquiries and respond in a timely manner with the requested information – track and organize all information
- Give tours of the building and units to prospective customers – both walk-ins and appointments
- Develop deep knowledge of the building and the brand. It is their responsibility to accurately, concisely, and passionately articulate the benefits of your building compared with the competition
- Accurately record touchpoints and follow-ups
- Manage the leasing process including contracting, the application of any promotions or negotiated benefits, and the completion of the lease paperwork and initial payments
- Utilize leasing and property management software to track leads, opportunities, and contracting
- Work with the back-office staff on any payment issues
- Monitor marketing and promotional initiatives, act as a brand ambassador and represent the RMS experience
- Monitor customer requests such as the types of units they want, the kinds of amenities they react well to or do not see as a differentiator, and competing buildings they are looking at. Track this information in partnership with the Property Manager and other company leaders
- Manage collateral distribution. Request new marketing collateral to align with prospective customers’ needs. Work with the Property Manager and, when required, the Director of Property Management to design this collateral
- Monitor the building for maintenance needs and communicate to the Property Manager
- Interact and engage the local community, attend local events, build relationships
- Help plan day-to-day marketing efforts including email blasts and resident events
