About the Role
The Facilities Technician is responsible for overseeing the overall maintenance and management of the RNGD campus, ensuring the campus is a vibrant and welcoming place for Renegades to work and thrive. This role involves coordinating with various teams and vendors, managing routine and preventative maintenance tasks, and ensuring that all campus facilities are in optimal condition to support daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Supply Management
- Communicate when supplies are needed for the campus and coordinate the disbursement of supplies upon delivery.
- Regularly check general office supplies such as soap, toilet paper, trash bags, and plastic utensils, ensuring they are adequately stocked.
- Track inventory of supplies and request restocks as necessary.
- Minor Maintenance Tasks
- Perform minor hands-on maintenance tasks, (examples include changing light bulbs, minor spackling, pressure washing small areas, etc.)
- Inspection Scheduling
- Schedule and coordinate annual inspections to ensure the campus remains compliant with safety and maintenance regulations while maintaining accurate records of all inspections.
- Cleaning Crew Coordination
- Monitor interior and exterior areas of building for cleanliness and general conservation.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the cleaning crew to ensure the campus always remains clean and presentable.
- Ensure that trash is taken out of all trashcans daily to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Ensure that recyclables are properly disposed of.
- Vendor Management
- Oversee maintenance contracts and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely and effective service delivery (Landscape, Electrical, HVAC, Fire Alarm, Sprinkler, Window Washing, Pressure Washing, Pest Control, etc.).
- Facility Management:
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment and furniture for events and meetings.
- Support office moves, equipment installations, and renovations.
- Respond to facility-related emergencies, such as leaks, power outages, and equipment malfunctions.
- Deliverables:
- Receive and distribute all packages that are delivered to the RNGD campus.
Qualifications
- General maintenance experience, with a basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and other common maintenance tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with teams and vendors.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as required, including lifting, standing, climbing, and using basic maintenance tools.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Working Conditions
- The role may require lifting and carrying heavy objects
- This role requires working in various environments (indoor, outdoor, etc.).
- Must be able to work flexible hours as needed, including some weekends and evenings.
