About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Concrete Carpenter to install concrete formwork in the early stages of construction projects. The Concrete Carpenter is tasked with execution in the following areas:
Primary Responsibilities
- Construct, erect, and install formwork using hand and power tools.
- Measure, cut, assemble, install forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts
- Construct and erect built-in-place or prefabricated wooden forms according to specifications for molding concrete structures
- Insert spreaders and tie-rods between opposite pieces to maintain specific dimensions
- Brace forms in place using nails, bolts, anchor bolts, steel cables, planks, and timber
- Pour concrete into finished form and finish concrete surfaces to specifications
- Install all items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of concrete form carpentry experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans
- Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions
- Strong communication skills to effectively work with management
- Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical tools, hand tools, power tools, layout tools, and measurement tools.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions
- Ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed based on the project
- Ability to observe and comply with all company safety protocols and project rules
