About the Role
As a Shop Welder at RNGD Prefab, you will be responsible for performing advanced welding operations in accordance with company standards and project specifications. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform 4G MIG welding on various metals, ensuring strong and clean welds.
- Interpret welding process specifications and work orders to determine welding requirements.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they are free of defects, meet quality standards, and are in line with design requirements.
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate gear and following safety practices.
- Collaborate with the shop, field and office to ensure timely project execution and high-quality outputs.
- Participate in training and safety meetings to enhance skills and ensure compliance with the latest industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welder, with specific expertise in 4G MIG welding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in welding from a recognized institution is preferred.
