Road Ranger, a growing multi-state Travel Center company, is seeking to add a Fuel Pricing Manager to its Fuels Department. The primary responsibility of the Fuel Pricing Manager is to lead the organization’s retail pricing strategies for its petroleum products. This role involves frequent travel throughout the United States.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop pricing models, processes and deployment of such across the organization.
- Develop and execute recommendations of all pricing strategies across the organization.
- Develop and implement targeted pricing actions across segments to proactively maximize profit.
- Proactively monitor internal pricing execution and competitor behavior, including frequent field travel among operating regions.
- Provide pricing recommendations and participate in strategic planning and execution.
- Negotiate and influence internally to encourage adoption and testing of new pricing structures and strategies.
- Building relationships with all relevant internal customers, partners and other stakeholders, including global partners.
- Make recommendations to senior leadership about pricing strategies.
- Implement tools to automate aftermarket pricing.
- Implement agreed to recommendations from recent pricing surveys.
- Liaise with other business functions to identify and deploy operational best practices-both regionally and within individual business units.
Education & Experience:
- BS/BA required; with concentration in finance, business, or marketing; MBA preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years in pricing, sales, finance, or a combination of functions with emphasis in petroleum retail or comparable niche field.
