Road Ranger, a growing multi-state Travel Center company, is seeking to add an IT Support Specialist to its information technology team! The right candidate has at least 3 years of experience in an end-user IT support capacity. We’re looking for an individual with direct hands-on experience supporting Windows 10 and 11 workstations, both software and hardware as well as a basic level of support & troubleshooting experience with related IT systems and processes such as user access, administration, software installation, printer mapping, switches and networking equipment.

Required Skills
- Windows 10/11 Professional support experience – imaging, networking configuration, printer administration, installing & removing software, working with services, troubleshooting errors
- PC hardware support experience – comfortable inside an opened PC case, including working with RAM, hard drives, and power supplies.
- Networking experience – configuring IP, basic troubleshooting like ping and traceroute
- Experience supporting end users in the browser – configuring browser settings, plugins, troubleshooting web site problems, comfortable viewing source to assist in troubleshooting, etc
- Experience working from a ticketing and/or on-call systems. Handling a steady flow of tickets, collecting documentation and seeing problems through to resolution
- Experience writing guides and manuals in response to IT issues to help end users and other IT technicians in the future.
- Point of Sale solutions and multi-unit retail support experience with a preference towards individuals with prior experience working with c-store and fueling businesses
- Requirement to be on-site in Schaumburg, IL 8 AM to 5 PM (M-Th)
- Position may occasionally (less than once a month) involve overnight travel to provide hands-on support to our network of stores throughout the Midwest
- This is an on-call role; on-call shifts require 24x7 accessibility by phone
