Logistics Dispatcher

We're looking for a proactive and experienced individual to join our fast-paced team as a Logistics Dispatcher . If you excel in team settings, can multi-task with ease, and solve problems autonomously, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatch intermodal trucks for both local and over-the-road assignments, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Maintain regular communication with drivers, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
• Liaise seamlessly with the Port of Oakland Terminals, facilitating the flow of information and resolving any issues that arise.
• Monitor import/export container statuses using various channels, including port websites and call centers.
• Track shipments, provide timely updates, and enter shipment details into our proprietary systems.
• Offer prompt and effective responses to customer inquiries, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Update shipment statuses and coordinate appointments through port and terminal systems.
• Manage general office duties, such as email correspondence and phone calls, and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
• Be available for after-hours and weekend duties when required to ensure continuous operation.

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience within a logistics industry.
• 4 Years of Drayage and/or LTL experience
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to lead a team.
• Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations is a significant advantage.
• Experience with PortPro and/or CMS is beneficial.
• A consistently positive, empathetic, and professional approach to customer interactions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
