What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flatbed/Van Dispatcher position at RoadOne IntermodaLogistics?
- Plan and schedule efficient routes and pickups for flatbed trucks.
- Book loads and coordinate with drivers to ensure timely delivery and pickup.
- Monitor and track loads to ensure they are on schedule and within DOT regulations.
- Maintain communication with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Provide updates to customers on the status of their shipments.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to manage loads and track shipments.
- Obtain necessary permits for oversize or overweight loads.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Assign loads to drivers based on their experience, availability, and the nature of the cargo.
- Provide drivers with clear instructions and route information.
- Monitor driver performance and address any issues or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of all jobs, including times, routes, and special handling assignments.
- Assist with billing and invoicing.
- Work with mechanics to ensure trucks are properly maintained.
- All potential new hires must pass a drug screen and background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
