Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Parts Runner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting parts and materials within our facility and to various locations as needed. This role is crucial in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently, providing excellent customer service while managing deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive company vehicles, including vans and box trucks, to deliver parts to designated locations.
- Load and unload parts and materials, ensuring they are secured properly during transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including any necessary documentation.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to provide updates on delivery status.
- Assist in the organization of the warehouse, ensuring that parts are stored correctly and accessible for quick retrieval.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries or concerns during deliveries.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of manual transmission vehicles preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
- Excellent driving skills with a valid driver's license; commercial driving experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading materials.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
