Position Summary
The Traffic Safety Worker will travel to various RoadSafe locations and project sites, operating vehicles and assisting the team with daily operations. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work in a team environment, and a commitment to safety. Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Travel on state and local roadways to RoadSafe locations in various states.
- Operate company vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Utilize mechanical skills to assist with equipment, vehicle, and diesel mechanics.
- Assist the team with setting up and maintaining traffic control devices.
- Load and unload equipment and materials as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- CDL B is required to operate a Boom Lift.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand, sit, and bend for extended periods.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2-5 years of driving experience.
- HAZMAT certification preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of federal motor carrier safety regulations.
- Must pass a background check and DOT drug screen.
- Ability to read and write to complete paperwork and follow road signs.
- Willingness to travel and work outdoors for extended periods.
