Position Overview:
Roan Investment Group is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Staff Accountant to join our team. This role is essential to our operations, handling high level financial and administrative functions to ensure compliance, continued growth and a well-managed office environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in QuickBooks, preferably with experience in the real estate, service business industry or with a CPA firm, and a commitment to excellence in accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly/weekly/quarterly reviews of balances and activity to ensure accurate financial records
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and tax returns
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Conduct audits and reviews of financial documents
- Advise senior leadership on tax planning and financial strategies
- Manage accounting records, budgets, and general ledger
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports
- Collaborate with senior leadership to improve financial processes and strategies
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CPA or in a similar accounting role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to explain complex accounting data in a simple way
- Ability to analyze complex systems
- Problem-solving skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of accounting and financial software

- Experience in private equity and regulatory reporting
- Strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and balance sheet reconciliation
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
