Roanoke Valley ENT & Allergy is a privately held practice and is passionate about offering exceptional adult and pediatric ENT care. We offer individualized care with cutting-edge ENT techniques and on-site diagnostic tools, all designed to ensure patients receive excellent patient experience and relief. Our team is growing and we're looking for a full-time Patient Coordinator.
Job Summary:
On a daily bases, the Patient Coordinator will rotate between working the front desk (checking patient in/out) and answering phones (scheduling appointments, routing calls to various departments and/or taking messages.) Exceptional customer service is an absolute must!
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls using multi-line system
- Schedule appointments and consultations
- Coordinate patient reminders
- Update medical records through our EMR
- Scan and assign documents into patients' charts
- Respond to website and marketing inquiries
- Welcome guests upon arrival and check them in
- Collect out-of-pocket fees including co-payments
- Check patients out and scheduling follow up appointments.
We are seeking a professional with:
- A patient-focused work ethic
- Demonstrated, successful organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- The ability to effectively and proactively communicate, both verbally and in writing, in support of appropriately informing patients, staff, and surgeons timely
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with team members, external representatives, distributors, vendors, etc.
- The desire and ability to learn new technology including but not limited to EMR and scheduling software
- The experience and skills to run the front and back of a medical office
Preferred Requirements:
- Prior experience working in a medical clinic is a must!
