Position Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing and supporting key HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal professional will have a strong understanding of HR best practices and a proven ability to handle diverse responsibilities with discretion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Employee Onboarding and Engagement
  • Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new employees have a seamless and welcoming transition into the organization.
  • Foster a positive work experience by supporting initiatives that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Benefits Administration
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries and issues.
  • Employee Relations and Disciplinary Actions
  • Assist in addressing employee concerns, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace environment.
  • Support management in conducting disciplinary actions and resolving employee disputes professionally and effectively.
  • Compliance and Documentation
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including personnel files and documentation related to disciplinary actions and performance evaluations.
  • Policy Implementation and Communication
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Educate employees and management on HR policies, ensuring understanding and adherence.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 years of HR generalist experience, with demonstrated expertise in onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive situations with tact and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certification in HR (PHR / SPHR or SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP) is preferred but not required.
