What you'll be doing
The Pouch Operator is responsible for running pouch equipment. This includes set up & run, preventative maintenance activities, along with mechanical, and process troubleshooting issues. Additionally, a Pouch Operator measures and inspects printed formed packaging (bags/pouches) to ensure they meet quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Operate the packaging/pouch equipment following process and machine specifications.
· Troubleshoot and adjust equipment, as needed.
· Measure and inspect printed and formed packages (bags/pouches) to meet quality standards.
· Perform quality tests and document results.
· Complete job paperwork.
· Complete preventative maintenance activities on equipment; includes changing consumables.
· Communicate with team members in a respectful, supportive manner.
· Follow production schedule and communicate when issues arise.
· Support team members through continuous improvement efforts.
· Participate in team discussions to resolve issues and highlight opportunities.
· Operate secondary packaging equipment as needed.
· Participate in continued learning opportunities.
· Follow all Company policies and safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
· Perform general housekeeping to keep work areas clean and organized.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, (Licensure and Certifications)
· High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
· Experience operating equipment in a manufacturing environment is preferred
· Strong mechanical & troubleshooting skills.
· Strong communication skills.
· Willingness to learn and be a supportive team member.
· Professionalism in the workplace.
· Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
· Good math and measurement skills – able to learn how to use measurement equipment
· Must be detail-oriented and accurate; able to read/interpret documents
· Ability to prioritize and organize workload; meeting deadlines
