We seek a Steel Fabrication Quality Control Manager to oversee our structural fabrication facility's quality assurance and control processes. The ideal candidate will ensure our products meet the highest quality standards and adhere to all industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement QC procedures and guidelines.
- Regular inspections and audits are conducted to identify deviations or non-conformities.
- Work with production and the PM department to identify and correct quality problems, implementing solutions as necessary.
- Oversee shop floor quality control, providing training and guidance as needed.
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to ensure all raw materials meet quality standards before production.
- Document and report quality issues to the upper management and monitor the effectiveness of the quality program.
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in quality control within the steel fabrication industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of AWS and AISC codes, standards, regulations, and best practices related to structural steel.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
- Certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Management, and hold an AWS CWI are a plus.
