We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent/Inventory Manager to join our dynamic team.
Job Description:
As a Purchasing Agent/Inventory Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the purchasing process and inventory levels for RWI and its affiliated companies. You will be responsible for sourcing and procuring products, overseeing inventory management, and ensuring efficient distribution to our affiliated companies. Your responsibilities will include:
- Purchasing Management:
- Identify and source reliable suppliers to meet the product needs of RAB, RME, RCE, RKW and HT.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
- Process purchase orders, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery of goods to our affiliated companies.
- Monitor market trends and identify new product opportunities.
- Implement cost-saving strategies to optimize purchasing costs.
- Inventory Oversight:
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of inventory at RWI's warehouse.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
- Implement inventory management systems and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Optimize inventory levels to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Distribution Management:
- Coordinate the distribution of products to RAB, RME, RCE, RKW and HT based on their specific requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to affiliated companies.
- Track and manage shipping costs and logistics.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in purchasing and inventory management within a wholesale environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
