Currently, RG is looking to hire a Full Time Configuration Management Specialist to support our US Army customer. This role will be critical in supporting our customer's overarching mission of Weapons and Munition Systems Research, Development and Fielding.
A Day In the Life:
To help make our customer successful, the chosen candidate can expect to be responsible for managing the process for Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Requests for Variance (RFVs) as submitted by vendors for improvements and upgrades to military systems. The successful candidate will be working with a diverse group of scientific and engineering individuals and must have the ability to work independently. General Program Management Office (PMO) functions/duties may also be expected.

This role plays an important and vital part in our customer's mission success. The ideal candidate will be able to impact our customers Product Teams managing the necessary changes identified for their products currently fielded around the world. As parts become obsolete or are improved by technology, system changes become necessary to allow US forces to maintain their overmatch capability. This role is critical to ensure these improvements and modifications occur in a timely and efficient manner to minimize the impact to our US Armed Forces and allies.
Required Skills:
The Configuration Management Specialist is an exempt customer-facing business professional that provides a variety of information directly to customers for their ongoing programs, new initiatives, strategic planning, and measurement/evaluation in one or more of RG's solutions. They possess excellent customer service skills, remain current on industry trends, value teamwork, and have a wide range of interpersonal skills.
Core Job Requirements:
To be successful in this role, all candidates must meet the qualifications below to be considered.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer/Information Science or related technical field
- 3 years of Configuration management experience to include:
- Maintaining configuration baselines for hardware, software, and documentation
- Managing the change control process, including the submission, review, approval, and implementation of change requests
- Maintaining accurate records of configuration changes and status
- Ensuring that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible
- Working closely with engineering, development, quality assurance, and other teams to ensure effective configuration management
- Participating in project meetings and providing change items status updates
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office Product Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
- Current NACI or ability to obtain (US Citizenship required)
