Job Description:
A Construction Payroll Administrator ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll for construction projects, managing employee data, timesheets, and ensuring compliance with regulations and reporting requirements.
General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Payroll Processing:
- Accurately enter and process employee data, including hours worked, wages, deductions, and benefits.
- Calculate and reconcile payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposit information.
- Familiarity with ADP a plus
Compliance and Reporting:
- Compile and file public reporting requirements, including CA DIR Certified Payroll reports, Davis-Bacon and other payroll reports.
- Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of employee information, including timesheets, pay rates, and deductions.
Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support for construction management and field supervisors.
- Maintain rate sheets for all projects.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Support HR functions of the company as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- 4 years of related experience.
- B.A. or B.S. degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong math and numeracy skills.
- Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Construction industry background.
- Bilingual – Spanish and English.
