Robert Half has partnered with a government contractor in search of an Assistant Controller! The Assistant Controller position is paying $100,000-$115,000!
The Assistant Controller will be responsible for the following :
- Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions, including month-end close
- Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results, and preparation of monthly accounting reports
- Coordinating and preparing internal financial statements, including ad-hoc
- Assessing current accounting operations and offering recommendations for improvement
- Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
- Assisting in the oversight of regulatory reporting
- Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff
- Must be able to work harmoniously with both employees and other management personnel
- Analyze and explain variances from annual budgets
- Coordinate external audits with outside independent auditors and regulatory agencies (DCAA), in conjunction with the CFO, and oversee preparation of required items
