Robert Half Finance & Accounting is working with a company who is seeking a strong Accountant to join their organization located in the Omaha, NE Metro area (nearby Elkhorn, NE). As a general ledger Accountant, you will be handling a variety of tasks such as maintaining the general ledger, processing accounts payable and receivable, and performing other month-end close activities such as journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end adjustments. You will also contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements for the properties in the company portfolio and will perform other property accounting/asset management activities.
This is a full-time, permanent position located with salaried pay as well as year-end bonus eligibility. You will receive full, comprehensive benefits/insurance coverage/retirement plan. You will be offered the opportunity for hybrid/remote working capabilities weekly after the onboarding period.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Oversee the processing of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Handle bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records
• Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis
• Perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation to verify that the general ledger is balanced
• Utilize Property Management Software for managing and tracking property-related financial transactions
• Carry out Property Management Accounting duties, such as preparing financial reports and budgets
• Proficiently use QuickBooks for financial management and reporting
• Prepare and record Journal Entries accurately
• Perform Data Entry tasks to input financial information into our system
• Ensure all accounting tasks are performed in accordance with industry standards.
Requirements & Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business field a plus, but not required
• 2-3 years of progressive General Ledger accounting experience, but all levels of experience encouraged to apply
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop or Online a plus, but not required
• Experience working within Property Management, Construction/Development, or Real Estate industries all a plus, but not required
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
