We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Analyst in the manufacturing industry, based in Farmiingdale, New York. The role involves handling accounting tasks, maintaining accurate records and resolving inquiries. As an Accounting Analyst, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Supporting the month-end close process
- Keeping customer credit records up to date
- Resolving customer inquiries in a detail oriented and timely manner
- Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions
- Ensuring necessary approvals are obtained for transactions
- Assisting with the transition to NetSuite from other platforms
- Tracking and meeting strict cash flow metric goals
- Monitoring check runs to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Onboarding new vendors in a detail oriented manner
- Participating in meetings with a detail oriented demeanor.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry preferred.
- Proficiency in handling accounting functions such as accounts payable and receivables
- Experience in managing weekly accounts payable
- Demonstrated ability to obtain necessary approvals for accounting procedures
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a particular emphasis on executing complex formulas
- Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting operations
- A solid understanding and hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures
