We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Goleta, California. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be tasked with supporting our finance team in a variety of accounting and financial management tasks.Responsibilities• Handle the processing of invoices with precision and timeliness• Assist in the setup of vendors for smooth business operations• Undertake the responsibility of tracking budgets utilizing Excel• Support in capital project accounting to assure financial accuracy• Manage mail related to the finance department ensuring its proper distribution• Utilize Financial Information Network (FIN) for financial management and reporting• Engage in using accounting software systems for efficient financial control• Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records• Participate in auditing to ensure compliance with financial rules and regulations• Operate Microsoft 365, Smartsheet, and other collaboration tools for seamless team coordination• Perform accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)• Use ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems to streamline business processes• Manage coding of invoices for accurate record-keeping and ease of reference.
