We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Sartell, Minnesota. As a part of the manufacturing industry, this role involves managing general accounting functions, liaising with internal and external partners, and contributing to various other accounting-related tasks.Responsibilities:• Coordinate with internal and external partners for data requests and reporting.• Handle supplier inquiries and issues with professionalism and timeliness.• Carry out general ledger reconciliations and prepare journal entries.• Manage accounts payable and ensure accurate sales tax filings.• Oversee the import process of BAAN journal entries.• Generate project progress billings in collaboration with the project management team.• Process invoices and credits promptly, including electronic billings.• Reconcile and apply funds received for project progress billings.• Address invoice questions from suppliers and resolve payment issues.• Prepare, review, and submit annual 1099’s for suppliers.• Process intercompany invoices/credits related to warranty, cross charges, transfer price adjustments, royalties, and royalty tax withholdings.• Prepare supplier invoices for use tax for capital and software/hardware purchases and prepare report for use tax payment.• Support the monthly and year-end close process and the annual audit.• Provide backup support for hourly labor processing, customer credit card processing, invoicing, cash applications, and daily banking activity.
