We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for our client in New Orleans, Louisiana. As part of our dynamic finance department within the construction industry, you will play a crucial role in handling the administrative and clerical needs of the AP/Finance Department. This role offers a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.Responsibilities:• Accurately process customer credit applications and maintain precise records• Provide exceptional customer service to internal business partners• Assure daily processes and controls are executed in a timely manner, in compliance with company policies• Assist with both internal and external audits as required• Handle the sorting, logging, photocopying, and filing of invoices, checks, and other documents• Distribute daily department mail in an organized manner• Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling when necessary• Actively resolve Accounts Payable issues, including matching and batch coding• Update and reconcile sub-ledger to General Ledger, and process checks• Execute special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager
