We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the construction/contractor industry. Based in Brentwood, California, this role involves a range of responsibilities from processing and reconciling accounts payable to handling inventory and performing other administrative tasks as required.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently process and code credit applications from customers
- Handle account reconciliations and ensure the accurate maintenance of customer credit records
- Carry out check runs and invoice processing in accordance with company policies
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for sales tax calculations and to provide budgetary support
- Oversee the receipt of inventory and supplies, ensuring accuracy of deliverables and proper storage
- Audit purchase orders for accuracy, labeling items, and notifying the recipient as necessary
- Perform a range of flexible duties as required, which could include tasks such as kitchen stocking
- Adhere to all company procedures and policies, including those related to safety and data entry.
- Solid understanding and practical experience in Account Reconciliation
- Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
- Ability to perform Check Runs efficiently and accurately
- Proficiency in Coding Invoices as per business requirements
- Strong Data Entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Experience in Invoice Processing, with the ability to manage high volumes
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of complex formulas and data analysis tools
