We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the manufacturing industry, located in Northern Kentucky, United States. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring compliance with policies and tax regulations, collaborating with other departments to resolve accounting issues, and assisting with general ledger transactions.
Responsibilities
- Accurately manage and execute all accounts payable functions including vendor payments and invoice reconciliation.
- Collaborate with other departments in order to resolve accounting and tax-related issues.
- Conduct sales tax filing to various states according to schedule and maintain precise records.
- Assist in the execution of general ledger transactions, ensuring financial reporting accuracy.
- Maintain thorough vendor records, including tax ID forms and end-of-year tax documentation.
- Provide support during month-end closing by ensuring completion of various transactions.
- Assist in providing necessary documentation and reconciliations during financial audits.
- Monitor and track outstanding Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable balances to aid in cash flow management.
- Provide backup for Accounts Receivable functions, including cash applications and resolving payment discrepancies.
- Perform necessary clerical and administrative duties to support the finance department.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Proficient in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
- Knowledge of Accounting Entries and Accounting Functions
- Experience in managing Accounting Operations
- Proficiency in SAP software
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of Sales Tax and Monthly Sales Tax
- Experience with Vertex Sales & Use Tax
- High tech engineering industry experience preferred
