Description

We are in search of an Administrative Coordinator to join our team located in Alexandria, Virginia. As an Administrative Coordinator, your role will revolve around various administrative tasks such as managing the mailroom, handling outgoing packages, and maintaining office inventory. You will also be tasked with data entry, assisting in the organization of monthly events, and ensuring the office is well-stocked with necessary supplies. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the mailroom and ensure the efficient handling of outgoing packages.
  • Assist in the organization and set up of monthly events such as luncheons and breakfasts.
  • Oversee the inventory of office supplies and restock as needed.
  • Enter relevant data into the office system.
  • Use your communication skills to effectively answer inbound calls.
  • Distribute incoming mail to the appropriate departments.
  • Ensure the office is well-organized and maintained.
  • Utilize your administrative skills to support the office in various tasks.


Requirements

  • Proficiency in answering inbound calls, exhibiting excellent communication skills and customer service abilities.
  • Capable of managing mailroom operations, including receiving, sorting, and distributing daily mail efficiently.
  • Experience with delivering mail promptly to various departments within the organization.
  • Familiarity with direct mail processes, including the creation and distribution of direct mail pieces.
  • Ability to handle and distribute incoming mail with accuracy and punctuality.
  • Experience in organizing and coordinating luncheons or other departmental events.
  • Demonstrable experience in providing administrative assistance, including scheduling, budget management, and record keeping.
  • Ability to work in an administrative office setting, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data entry, and record keeping.
