We are on the lookout for a meticulous Billing Clerk to be a part of our team. Located in Washington, District of Columbia, the Billing Clerk will have the critical role of handling customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. This role also involves monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action.
Responsibilities :
- Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications.
- Maintain precise records of customer credit.
- Address and rectify any discrepancies in billing, coordinating with attorneys when necessary.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client queries regarding invoices and billing records.
- Submit invoices via electronic billing platforms in accordance with client guidelines.
- Monitor and correct any rejections or adjustments that arise from the e-billing systems.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile billing data and provide reports at month-end.
- Ensure compliance with legal billing codes and guidelines.
- Handle sensitive client data with confidentiality and care.
- Propose improvements to streamline the billing workflow by identifying process inefficiencies.
- Stay abreast of changes in legal billing requirements and industry best practices.
- Navigate legal billing software, Microsoft Excel, and accounting systems proficiently.
- Manage large volumes of data with precision and accuracy, demonstrating strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
- Experience with ADP - Financial Services
- Knowledge of Computerized Billing
- Familiarity with EHR SYSTEM
- Proficiency in Epic Software
- Experience with the About Time software
- Understanding of Accounting Functions
- Experience handling Accounts Payable (AP)
- Experience managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Ability to handle Answering Inbound Calls
