The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and coordinate collection activities with the Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialists based in Salt Lake City, Utah, while ensuring compliance with established collection policies and procedures. The role requires partnering with branch management and A/R team members to resolve delinquent key customer accounts, including large regional accounts. Additionally, this position involves monitoring payment applications via EDI transmissions and ACH submittals through Wells Fargo, supporting the Credit Manager with audits, maintaining pricing databases, and handling other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collections Management:
- Regularly review and oversee collection efforts of the Salt Lake City A/R team.
- Provide reports on collection status and effectiveness to the Credit Manager and senior leadership.
- Audit delinquent accounts for thorough resolution efforts prior to assigning bad debt status.
- Account Monitoring and Collaboration:
- Report A/R conditions to warehouse staff, sales teams, and administrative personnel as required.
- Work alongside branch personnel to establish and maintain customer credit activities and credit files.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Collaborate with Alcohol and Gaming authorities to address regulatory requirements related to specific customer accounts.
- Payment Application and Pricing Coordination:
- Monitor and manage payment applications from multiple sources, including EDI transmissions and ACH payments.
- Partner with the Administrative Pricing Manager to ensure the pricing database remains current and accurate.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in A/R management and credit reviews.
- Familiarity with EDI transmissions, ACH payments, and regulatory compliance processes.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate across departments, including branch managers, sales teams, and regulatory bodies.
- Proficiency in managing and maintaining financial data and pricing databases
