We are in search of a diligent Collections Specialist to be a part of our team in the financial services sector, based in Denton, Texas. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity where you will handle the processing of customer applications, upkeep of precise customer records, and resolution of customer inquiries. You will also monitor customer accounts and take necessary action.
Responsibilities :
- Efficiently handle customer credit applications processing
- Safeguard the maintenance of precise customer credit records
- Enhance customer relations and provide high-quality service
- Increase account volume through effective customer solicitations
- Adhere to all company policies and State and Federal lending regulations
- Mitigate delinquent debt through suitable telephone collection activities
- Ensure all payments and fees are posted to customer accounts in accordance with company policy
- Perform data entry of loan application and documents
- Facilitate and process credit loan applications
- Sign checks for loans, expenses, and money remittances as per the manager's direction.
- Proven experience in the Financial Services industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel
- Strong skills in Keyword Research to aid in the recovery process
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with customers
- Proven track record in debt recovery or collections roles
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and patience in high-stress situations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of relevant legal requirements and regulations related to debt collection
