Compliance Analyst

Salary: $23.75 to $27.50 hourly

Location: Burlingame, CA (Onsite, 5 days per week)

Reports to: Senior Manager of Compliance

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Compliance Analyst to join our team and support the compliance operations related to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and bankruptcy risk processes. This entry-level position is ideal for someone with strong administrative, analytical, and communication skills who is interested in gaining experience in the compliance field.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, log, and respond to consumer complaints related to FCRA and bankruptcy risk issues.
• Draft correspondence using pre-approved templates, enter client data, print, and mail letters to consumers within a 30-day window.
• Analyze and organize disputes and inquiries received through mail, email, and voicemail.
• Review and log incoming data and ensure accurate and timely documentation.
• Conduct legal data research, including reviewing court records.
• Prepare and submit both internal and external reports.
• Collaborate with internal departments and compliance team members to implement initiatives and improve workflow.
• Prioritize and manage daily tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and logical thinking abilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); beginner to advanced level.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable handling correspondence from multiple sources and stakeholders.
• Ability to multi-task and manage several assignments simultaneously.
• Self-motivated and proactive in completing tasks independently or within a team.
