We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Compliance Officer in Huntersville, North Carolina. This role is particularly suited to individuals with a background in the medical device industry. You will be joining a Quality Assurance team and your primary responsibilities will be to assist the team in managing their backlog of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
Responsibilities :
- Support the Quality Assurance team in addressing the backlog of CAPAs
- Utilize your knowledge of medical device regulations to comprehend the implications of CAPAs
- Investigate the root cause of CAPAs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Collaborate with the team to implement solutions to CAPAs
- Monitor trends in complaints and self-report CAPAs when necessary
- Ensure compliance with medical device regulations and internal procedures
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of all CAPAs
- Regularly review and update the CAPA system and processes to prevent recurrence of issues
- Liaise with consumers of the device to address their complaints and concerns.
- Must possess a strong understanding of Compliance and its various applications in the business world.
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance, with the ability to manage and implement effective QA strategies.
- Demonstrated proficiency in CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) processes, with the ability to identify and rectify non-compliance issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with various departments.
- Strong analytical skills to identify compliance risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- A detail-oriented attitude, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Relevant certifications in Compliance or Quality Assurance would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of compliance laws, rules, and standards applicable to the industry.
- Understanding of the principles and practices of effective risk management.
